The office of Democratic California Gov. Gavin Newsom downplayed the riots that grabbed Los Angeles, likening them to a famous sports celebration in Philadelphia after the Eagles’ victory.
“La riots? Have these geniuses ever seen what happens when the Eagles win a playoff game?” Newsom’s communications director Izzy Gardon told Fox News Digital on Sunday morning.
Philadelphia has confirmed that beloved teams such as the Eagles and Phillies’ victory championships have won championships, and the city is full of sports revelers, sometimes burning cars and causing property damage. The city greases city’s poles of light to discourage the party from expanding, and deploys additional police on the streets while wearing riot gear.
Fox News Digital contacted the governor’s office to inquire about the claims of California Republicans and Native Americans. They and other local Democrats issued messages defending illegal immigrants and denounced federal agents for raiding deportation in left-wing cities.

“Gavin Newsom and Karen Bass have a real habit of burning Los Angeles,” Republican California Rep. Darell Issa posted to X on Saturday evening.
“If only Karen Bass fought like he fought for the Los Angeles fire and illegal aliens,” Issa added in another post, referring to the Palisade fire that tore Southern California in January.

Fox Digital previously reported by Fox Digital, locks in responsibility for violence against elected Democrat officials who “devils and demonized” ICE law enforcement agencies that federal officials “devils and demonized.”
“This is yours, governor. It’s a shame that California openly opposes its own citizens with illegal aliens, including those with enhanced criminals,” Hermet Dillon, former vice-chairman of the California Republican Party and aide for the U.S. Department of Justice, was posted on X.
“The violent targeting of outlaws in Los Angeles law enforcement is despicable, and Mayor Bass and Governor Newsom need to end it,” DHS Deputy Chief Tricia McLaughlin wrote in a statement. “The ice men and women have breathed life into protecting and protecting the lives of American citizens. … From comparing them to the modern Nazi Gestapo to praise the violent people, the violent rhetoric of these sanctuary politicians is pale.”
Social media Trump administrators erupt over the LA mayor’s response to the ice attack: “You’re a criminal too.”
Newsom on Friday said the Trump administration’s immigrant raid in Los Angeles was “chaotic and reckless.”
“A chaotic federal sweep across California to meet any arrest quota is as reckless as it is cruel. Donald Trump’s confusion is eroding trust, tearing families apart, and damaging workers and industries that make use of the American economy,” a Newsmom statement read.
The press doubled in a response x-post to White House press secretary Caroline Leavitt on Saturday in support of protecting illegal immigrants from deportation.
“Recently, violent mobs have attacked ice officers and federal law enforcement agencies carrying out basic deportation operations in Los Angeles, California, which are essential to stop and reverse illegal criminals’ invasion of the United States.
Newsom’s Office said, “These are not fundamental. Your indiscriminate sweep holds the entire community horrifying, hardworking, tax-paying Californians. It’s a cruel escalation and has to end.”

When asked about the riots and California Republicans, when they condemned violence against immigrants and newspaper stance on Sunday morning, the governor’s office compared street parties and outlaws after the Eagles victory.

But the Los Angeles riots include targeted attacks on federal law enforcement officials, including violent protesters from immigration officials taking rocks and other items. For example, the chief of US Border Patrol Michael W. Banks shared a photo of the bloody hands of the Border Patrol injured by a rock flying through the windshield.
