Wednesday’s Golden Globe Awards aired on January 11, 2026 and released the timeline, eligibility rules and award guidelines for the 83rd Annual Edition, which will begin the Hollywood Awards season.
Comedian Nicky Glazer will be hosting the show for the second year in a row.
The ceremony will be broadcast live from CBS’ Beverly Hilton and will be streamed on Paramount+ in the US.
The Eligibility Rules include the newly added Best Podcast Awards, which outlines how the top 25 podcasts qualify with a total of six final nominations in the category. Data company Luminate decides on eligible podcasts.
The Golden Globe nominations will be announced on December 8th.
Other important dates are:
August 1: Submission website opens Golden Globes Film and TV Entries October 1: Golden Globes Awards Podcast Entries October 31: Film, TV and Podcast Submission Deadline November 23: The final day of the TV and Podcast Speaker Meeting. Last day for TV and Podcast Programs uploaded to the Golden Globes Screening Platform, November 24th: Deadline for TV and Podcast Nominations Voting until 5pm: Motion Picture and Film Jobs and Box Office Merit Nominations Voting deadline will be sent to all voters. Motion Pictures’ final date and cinema and box office achievements will be found in the list of categories and categories for receipt of the final valot by December 4th: Cinema and Film Jobs and Box Office Achievement nomination vote deadline Voting by December 19th: January 3rd: Final Barot receipt by 5pm.
