Republicans in the House and Senate are worried about whether President Donald Trump will take a more aggressive approach surrounding GOP lawmakers in support of his “big and beautiful bill.”

“President Trump is a Republican leader. He’s not. I think it’s mandatory for everyone in the Senate to understand that this is essentially a signing law voted by 77 million Americans.”

The Senate works through massive laws driving Trump’s agenda on taxes, immigration, energy, defense and government bonds.

Trump has publicly pushed the bill to Republicans, posting it on his true social platform at consecutive events on Thursday and Friday.

Congressional leaders say they have almost constant contact with Trump or his White House staff about legislation. Certainly, many White House officials, including White House Chief Secretary Susie Wills and Treasury Secretary Scott Bescent, Vice President J.D. Vance, have urged Senate Republicans to stay on course.

But some House Republicans want to be as strong as their chamber of commerce passed the bill in May with just one vote. Trump has summoned several Republican groups to the White House several times with lead-up to the vote, making an unusual trip to Capitol Hill to increase support within the House GOP.

R-Mont. Sen. Steve Daines of the company told Fox News Digital that crossing the finish line is “nearly impossible” as the House is experiencing a move to advance mammoth law.

But he said it was Trump’s fault for the bill to succeed.

“He’s close to us in the bullpen now,” he said. “His arms are getting warmer and he’s taking him here in the ninth inning and he’s about to throw a fever.

It is noteworthy that several senators spoke individually with Trump, who raised concerns about the bill.

However, Republicans who spoke with Fox News Digital showed varying degrees of enthusiasm when asked if the president should repeat the intense involvement he had at home.

When asked by Fox News Digital if it was time for the president to join, R-Texas Rep. Chip Roy said, “It’s up to the White House, it’s up to the president.”

But Roy said, “I think the Senate needs to deliver. I think the Senate should do good with the agreement that the majority leaders were working with us to work with and work with us to achieve that level of spending cut.”

R-Penn. Rep. Dan Meuser of the group said Trump “is always involved, so he’ll continue to be involved because he wants to get it done by July 4th.”

R-Wis. Rep. Scott Fitzgerald said he is not aware of how involved Trump is, but he says the president needs trading skills.

“I mean, I think it’s what it is that kind of thing that brings everyone together in need of that kind of horsepower,” Fitzgerald said.

But some Republicans in the upper room are resistant.

“Of course it doesn’t matter what he’s saying,” R-Fla Sen. Rick Scott told Fox News Digital. “I mean, unless I know I’m voting, I’m not voting for anything.”

Sen. John Kennedy (R-La.) wouldn’t have said if he believed Trump should put his finger on scale. However, he told Fox News Digital that he appreciated Thune and R-Idaho’s Mike Crapo, chairman of the Senate Finance Committee, for his efforts to get feedback from Senate Republicans, but at certain points, lawmakers should vote for the bill.

“We have long discussed and discussed this bill for a long time. At one point, we moved from careful and reasonable deliberation to the foot of the Jackassery,” Kennedy said. “And that’s where we are now. It’s time to vote. If people are unhappy, they can provide corrections.”

Fox News Digital reached the White House for comment.
