Exclusive: First-term House GOP Firebrand argues that governors who violate federal immigration laws should be arrested.

“If they’re openly fling federal law and obstructing federal law enforcement, that’s something we should consider,” R-Texas Rep. Brandon Gill told Fox News Digital.

Gill’s brief interview occurred on the sidelines of a famous sanctuary state hearing with the House Oversight Committee and the Democratic governor of New York, Illinois and Minnesota.

Meanwhile, outside of Washington, Los Angeles mobs face law enforcement as California Democratic leaders accused the Trump administration of escalating violent tensions. President Donald Trump and his allies allegedly downplayed federal immigration laws that Newsom has denied.

Trump wanted Newsom to be arrested, and the Declaration Democrats panned as an authoritarian.

But Gill suggested that if it turns out that a progressive governor or other people like him have broken the law, it was guaranteed.

“If they’re breaking the law and obstructing federal law enforcement for federal immigrants, yes, they’re [arrested]Gil said.

“I don’t think we should turn cities into disorderly hell. That’s what’s happening.”

A Newsom spokesman told Fox News Digital in response to Gill’s comments: “Our state law is not consistent with federal law. A period of time. A complete suspension.”

It’s a clash, and Trump has seen it before. In 2019, federal courts upheld state sanctuary law, the California value law, against challenges from the Trump administration.

However, there is a new legal front and back around Trump’s right to send the National Guard to Los Angeles in response to Newsom’s objections.

A federal judge ruled Thursday that Trump must return control of the California State Guard to the newspaper, but the appeals court quickly overturned the decision.

Gill’s focus at the Sanctuary State House Oversight Board hearing was on Illinois Governor J.B. Pretzker.

He supported Pretzker’s “welcome” illegal immigration to the United States, but Illinois Democrats retorted that he was referring to asylum seekers.

At one point, Pretzker supported the need for federal immigration authorities, but Gill said he had challenged him.

“Your administration has given an organized community $12,000 for deportation. For the past month, you’ve been marching on the streets of Chicago with signs of “abolizing the ice,” Gil said.

“Does this reflect your moral values?” asked Gill.

“I do not support the abolition of the immigration force,” said Pretzker.
