Republican Sen. John Cornyn of Texas and Roger Marshall of Kansas shared their thoughts on the sudden, escalating feud between Elon Musk and President Donald Trump.

If the Trump-backed “big and beautiful bill” passed with Medicaid cuts, Cornin dealt with whether he believes Trump is threatening to cancel all government contracts for Musk.

Musk and Trump are trapped in a escalating war of words over their disagreements over the president’s proposed budget bill under consideration in the Senate.

In a post on X on Tuesday, Musk said: “Sorry, but I can’t stand it anymore. This huge, outrageous, pork-filled Congressional expenditure bill is a nasty hatred. I’ve put shame on anyone who voted for it. I know you were wrong.

Musk then claimed Thursday afternoon that Trump was “in Epstein’s files” and “that’s the real reason they’re not publicly available.”

Meanwhile, Trump said that Musk was “wearing thin” during his leadership at Kudji, and insisted that he “pleased him to leave.”

“I took away his EV mission and made everyone buy an electric car that no one else wanted (he knew for months I was trying to do it!), and he just got hooked!” Trump said true socially.

“The easiest way to save money on a budget is billions, billions of dollars, to end Elon’s government subsidies and contracts,” the president also said on Thursday.

“I was always surprised that Biden didn’t do that!”

Cornyn stopped criticizing either side, saying that Fox News’ Digital Mask “has provided great service to the people” and “I am grateful that President Trump has started doge with him on board.”

Even through a mask spat with the president, Cornyn said the government’s efficiency department would “be a permanent part of the discussion here.”

“I think we should believe or understand that the federal government is too big, too bloated and inefficient, and that Elon and Doge were very effective. I thought we were pointing out some of the worst examples of that,” the Texas Republican said.

Marshall responded to the controversy by telling Fox News Digital:

“What Elon doesn’t realize is that he’s not the CEO here.

“Working in Congress and working for those returning to their hometown is very different than being a CEO. [When] You are the CEO, you jump to people and they say, “How high do you have to go?” But President Trump works on the board. ”

Marshall described the president’s role as “to work with the board of directors of large corporations.”

“There’s 435 here at the Capitol. There’s 100 in the Senate. We all have an opinion. And now I think this bill is 90% of the people here, Republicans, think it’s necessary,” he said.

“There’s an opportunity for improvement,” and “I agree with Elon that we’re still spending a lot of money and that we need more cuts, but I learned a long time ago to stay locked up in our goals.

“We can assure you that we are not paying attention to this little feud,” he concluded.

Regarding the democratic accusations that the bill would significantly reduce Medicaid and SNAP’s profits, Marshall said, “We’re going to do the right thing, but we’ll protect it for those who need it the most.”

He assumed that the Medicaid system was full of illegal aliens and other individuals “impropriate” using the program.

The senator dealt with people who were not using the system for fraud and said, “I’m not going to take my grandma out of the nursing home. I’m going to make sure she has Medicaid.”

“People with disabilities, I fight to keep Medicaid for them. But on the other hand, there are probably 7 million healthy American men working. “So let’s help those people do their jobs.”
