Exclusive: GOP Rep. Darrell Issa is blowing up elected Democratic officials in her hometown of California about her response to anti-ice riots in Los Angeles after calling for a Congressional investigation into the response times of local law enforcement.
“These are the same people who say Biden is doing well and was at the top of his game,” Issa said of the Democrats’ tale of the riots that have been unfolding in Los Angeles since Friday.
“So their credibility goes with what you see and what they say. Unless they are willing to literally lie to your face to what you see with your own eyes, you can’t come up with a better example of why you shouldn’t believe in the people at that party either.”
Democrats across the country, from California to Washington, D.C., have downplayed the riots and focused on claims that the majority of anti-ice exhibits are “peace.”

Additionally, California Gov. Gavin Newsom, Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass and other Democrats have accused President Donald Trump of mobilizing the National Guard for making the situation worse.
Issa, who represents California’s 48th Congressional District, had problems with the story.
“First of all, there was damage that was done both vandalism and actual destruction before Trump was involved. That’s why he was involved, but there’s another thing some people miss,” Issa told Fox News Digital.
“When ice agents sought police assistance when they were assaulted, they waited for two hours before police responded because they were unable to gain the authority to respond.
On Tuesday, Fox News Digital reported exclusively on an ISSA call for an investigation into the Department of Homeland Security claim that LAPD took two hours to respond to help it get attacked Friday night.
LAPD denied the allegations and said it would take 40 minutes to respond due to traffic.

“Please understand that we have over 10 million people who have been cast into this country. Tens of thousands of people are serious criminal foreigners,” Issa said. “We had a warrant. We had an order to deport us. There’s a reason we have to chase many of these people in cities across the country. If ice agents are not protected by people like the mayor or my governor, the president has to continue doing this and ultimately create an escort for ice agents.”
Issa told Fox News Digital that Trump is doing a “great job” with his response to his unrest in Los Angeles.
“One thing that makes me very happy is that by taking strong actions here, he is making sure that it doesn’t happen in other cities across the country, because what you don’t want is because you’ve finally seen it happen not just in one city, but in a city that happened after two or more people died.

Issa told Fox News Digital that Democrats used the term “rebellion” to explain the January 6 riots, but felt they knew why they described the January 6 riots that lasted several days.
“We’ve heard the word ‘riot’ nonstop for several years. And now, when people are directly attacking property and law enforcement, that’s the definition of rebellion. Especially when they do it on behalf of people sitting in prison for being arrested for a crime, and when they are arrested in prison for being arrested for a real felony,” Issa said.
“And it’s amazing to believe that a high-ranking elected official like Gov. Newsom will actually try to protect their actions. And yet they do that.”
Issa went on to say that Newsom’s reaction to the riots “may have even worked in the printing and radio eras,” but video evidence of a riot from the scene is unacceptable for his position.
“Everyone who has a TV or podcast and a mobile phone, those images will become American people. [is going to] Issa said as he tried to pretend to be a good governor.

“Trump is pulling military dragnets all over Los Angeles, far beyond his stated intentions to pursue violent and serious criminals,” Newsom said Tuesday night. “His agents arrest dishwashers, gardeners, day workers, tailors. It’s just weakness. Weakness impersonates strength. Donald Trump’s government doesn’t protect our community. They’re hurting our community. That seems to be the whole point.”
“When Donald Trump called for the blanket authority to command the National Guard, he applied that order to all states in this country. This is about us all, this is about you.
