Police are investigating violent assaults by a group of boys captured on video in Los Angeles’ Carte area over the weekend.
The incident was reported at the intersection of San Vicente Boulevard and McCarthy Vista on Saturday around 4:30pm.
A spokesperson for the Los Angeles Police Department said Monday.
A video of the incident posted on Instagram and shared with KTLA showed that around 10 boys punched and kicked the driver as others arrived on the bike and joined.

Those who shared the video traveled on Lyft and headed out with the allegedly “ex-military” driver to see if they could help the driver.
“Fortunately, the thugs returned to their bikes after leaving victims with head injuries and multiple lacerations on their face,” the post read.
Witness Tyler Johnson said the driver left his car to confront a large group of bikes blocking the street. At one point, he saw one of the boys on the man’s car and kicked the windshield.
Police have not confirmed them, but said the victim’s injuries were not serious and reports of battery and vandalism were made.
Saturday’s incident will not involve a large group of minors riding bicycles blocking streets in Los Angeles.
In January, the driver acquired dozens of bikes that accelerated on the wrong side of the street near Olympic Boulevard and South Lynpow Boulevard in a nearby Mid Wilshire neighborhood, making legal passage impossible .
The driver’s car was apparently destroyed after a while in the parking lot.
It was unclear whether some of the same bikes were involved in both cases, but that is under investigation.
