A search is underway for the suspect who shot and killed a man in the upscale Mid-Wilshire neighborhood in Los Angeles on Tuesday night.
Los Angeles Police Department officers responded to a report of an assault with a deadly weapon around 4:30 p.m. in the area of West 10th Street and Victoria Avenue, less than a mile from the Getty House where Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass lives. was dispatched to
Details are very limited and it’s unclear how exactly the violence unfolded, but police told KTLA the suspect had a gray beard and was likely wearing orange clothing. He said he believes the two men were involved in some type of altercation, as he was a black man in his 50s. He put on a vest, pulled out a gun and shot the victim.
Little is known about the victim, described only as a Hispanic man, and it is unclear whether he was a resident of the normally quiet neighborhood.
