Authorities are searching for the suspect who shot the wall of a motel room in San Bernardino County.
Filming occurred Thursday at Motel 6 in the 72500 block of Twentynin Palms Highway in Twentynin Palms, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.
The victims, a 77-year-old man and an 81-year-old woman, visited from San Diego and stayed on the property.
The suspect, identified as Lois Roche, was in the next room where he was allegedly fired a gun. The bullet was thrust into the victim’s room through an adjacent wall.
Surveillance video shows Roche wrapping the motel in his left hand to leave the motel. He fled the scene before deputies arrived.
Roche is currently being sought by Colorado for a probation violation. His vehicle is a white 2003 Chevrolet Rail Blazer with a California license plate 9NJB143.
Suspicious gunman Lois Roche was seen leaving his motel room on March 13, 2025, as he reportedly fired a shot into an adjacent room at Motel 6 in Twentin Palms.
“He is likely armed with a firearm and should be considered armed and dangerous,” the agent said.
Neither the victim nor the other person on the property were injured during the shooting, deputies said.
