The 28-year-old man was arrested in connection with the shooting of a suspect who has been accused of plowing his car during a late-night revelry outside an East Hollywood nightclub last month.
Lawndale resident Efren Villalobos was arrested by Redondo Beach police around 2:15pm Sunday, according to Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department prisoner locator logs.
Villalobos has been the subject of a manhunt since July 19th, and the night of 29-year-old Fernandora Mirez drove the car into a massive crowd outside a popular nightclub in the 1000 block of North Vermont Avenue, sending 37 people to the hospital.

Over 120 first responders rushed to the scene to treat minor pain, injuries ranging from lacerations to serious fractures and fractures. Several people who were hit by the car were temporarily locked up.
Fortunately, nothing was fatal.

After the collision, cell phone video showed bystanders pulling Ramirez out of the car, punching and kicking him repeatedly.
During the argument, gunman Villa Lobos reportedly approached from across the street and shot Ramirez in the waist. He fled the scene before police arrived.
Ramirez was also taken to the hospital and was later arrested. On July 22, he was charged by the LA County District Attorney’s Office with 37 count attempted murder and 37 count fatal weapons. If convicted, he could face multiple prison sentences for life in prison.
The accusations facing Villalobos are not yet clear.
