After a sunny, warm Friday, there is a dramatic change in the weather in Tap in Southern California this weekend.
“The big deal will be windy. We’ll have a strong gust of wind from Saturday to Sunday,” said KTLA meteorologist Henry DiCarlo.
The southwest to northwest winds are expected to range from 25-45 mph in many mountains, deserts, hills and even valley locations.
The low-pressure system will also offer significant cooling this weekend as it will bring potential for light rain to the region. Most rain totals less than a tenth of an inch, allowing up to half an inch in lower elevation mountain communities and foothill locations.

“What have I been saying all week? A storm will be more bark than a bite,” Henry said. “Yeah, we’re going to rain, but it’s very light for most of us.”
Showers are expected to develop on Saturday nights, with most rain falling on Sunday. “I think at the end of the day, we’ll all be at least drizzling,” Henry said.
According to the National Weather Service (NWS), cold conditions reduce snow levels to about 5,500 feet. 2-5 inches of snow is possible.
There is a slight chance of rain coming down and continues until Monday morning.
