Iran-linked cybergroups are threatening to release a large number of emails claiming they were stolen from Trump officials and allies.

The hacker previously released a batch of emails to the media that were stolen during the 2024 campaign.

Under the pseudonym Robert, the hacker first told Reuters that he had about 100 gigabytes of emails from White House President Susie Wills, Donald Confit Roger Stone, Trump’s lawyer Lindsay Harrigan and Trump’s star star Stallstar.

Attorney General Pam Bondy called Huck a “ruthless cyberattack” and said the agency would work to “protect officials targeted by this rogue group.”

“They’re looking into Iran’s strike ledgers,” said Leavitt, FBI.

“Protecting the ability to communicate safely to achieve the president’s mission is our number one priority,” FBI Director Kash Patel added in a statement.

“Anyone in connection with any kind of national security violation will be fully investigated and charged to the fullest extent of the law.”

Marci McCarthy, a spokesman for the Cyber and Infrastructure Security Agency, called the Iranian threat “an effort to distract, discredit and divide it.”

“These offenders will be brought to trial,” she said in a statement.

Last summer, at the height of the 2024 election, hackers related to Iran sent stolen material from the Trump campaign to individuals and US media organizations related to the Biden campaign. In the September indictment, the Biden Justice Department accused three members of Iran’s Revolutionary Guard of the Republic of China of being behind the leak.

In May, the hackers behind “Robert” informed Reuters that they hadn’t leaked any more documents. “I’m retired, man.”

However, the group returned after Israel and the US attacked Iran’s nuclear lands. They said they organized a sale of stolen communications and asked Reuters to make it public.

US cyber officials warned Monday that US companies and critical infrastructure operators could still be on the Iranian crosshairs. Experts suggest that Iran may be looking for non-military methods to punish the US for its strike.

“Even though ceasefires and continued negotiations for a permanent solution have been declared, Iran-related cyber actors and groups of hattivists may still be engaged in malicious cyber activities,” the US agency said in its recommendation.

The new threat claims Trump has not spoken with Iran and has not provided anything for nuclear negotiations. He says the Iranian facility has “completely disappeared.”
