The family of Hannah Kobayashi, who was recently found safe after going missing in Los Angeles last month, is offering refunds to those who donated to an online fundraiser during the search for her.
Kobayashi’s family announced Wednesday that he had been located and is safe. The statement came after her family previously disputed Los Angeles Police Department claims that she disappeared voluntarily.

One day later, on Thursday, the family posted an update on a GoFundMe page to help with search efforts and cover funeral costs for Ryan.
“We are incredibly relieved and grateful that Hannah was found safely,” the statement said. “The past month has been an unimaginable challenge for our family. We would like to express our deepest gratitude to everyone who has supported us during this difficult time. Your kindness and concern It was very important to us.”
Donors who wish to receive a refund have until Dec. 18 to submit a claim, the family said. As of 11 a.m. Thursday, 884 donors had raised more than $47,000.
