The heat recommendations are in place as Southern California is ready for at least two days of average temperatures.
KTLA’s Mark Kriski predicted Tuesday that high pressures on the region will be controlled for the coming days, bringing “really hot temperatures tomorrow and Thursday.” Most areas are expected to exceed afternoon highs of 5-10 degrees above normal.
The National Weather Service (NWS) sought temperatures between 95-104 degrees this week in Riverside and parts of San Bernardino counties, including the cities of Fontana, Corona, Moreno Valley, San Bernardino, San Bernardino, Riverside and Rancho Cucamonga.
A heat advisory was issued for the area from 10am on Wednesday to 8pm on Thursday. Downtown Los Angeles remains below triple digits, but is expected to reach 90 degrees on Thursday.

Weather officials reminded the public to look after vulnerable populations, including newborns, children, the elderly and people with chronic illnesses.
From the windy afternoons expected later in the week, it will be combined with high temperatures to increase the risk of fire hazards. “The rise in fire weather conditions will continue to move away from the coast where rapid fire growth is possible, where new fires begin,” the NWS said.
If a high-pressure ridge breaks down over the weekend, the NWS says there are slight opportunities for monsoon showers and thunderstorms this weekend or early next week.
Temperatures are expected to remain warm, but this weekend we’ll be closer to normal.
