A few days after normal temperatures fall, Southern California will see another heat wave next week with rising weather conditions in the fire.
This week’s cooling trend is thanks to the powerful upland streams that have brought low clouds and mist. However, the National Weather Service says the winds are expected to be strong starting Monday, but the humidity will be lowered to 10-20%.
Future heat waves are expected to arrive next Tuesday, with some parts of Southern California going to have triple digit temperatures later in the week.
“It’s a little warmer, it’s warmer. By Thursday and Friday, you’ll notice that it’s peak heat,” said Stephanie Ormo, a meteorologist at NBC Los Angeles.
The heat affects Southern California’s inland areas, especially in the valleys, mountains and deserts.
Heat recommendations can be issued in many areas of the region next week.
In addition to low humidity of 8-20%, the possibility of gasty (warm) winds and thunderstorms that can ignite brush fires in mountains and hills can lead to fire weather.
