Defense Secretary Pete Hegses announced Wednesday that President Donald Trump has appointed two high-ranking military officials to lead the US Central Command and US African Command (AFRICOM).
Trump promoted Navy Deputy Charles B. Cooper II to Admiral and was assigned to commander of St.com at McDill Air Force Base in Florida.
The president also appointed General Dagvin Rm Anderson, who was promoted to general and assigned to commander of Africom in Stuttgart, Germany.

According to the Centcom website, Vice President Cooper has built his career as a ground warden serving led missile cruisers, guided missile destroyers, aircraft carriers and amphibious attack ships.
From the land, he served in special roles, including military assistants and special roles in the White House, Secretary of Defense, Africa and several executives of the US Pacific Fleet Headquarters.

Cooper also served as the mission officer for the Afghan Interior Minister for the key US Advisor and Surface Warfare Officer.
Lt. Gen. Anderson is currently director of the Pentagon’s co-force development in Washington, DC.

He flew the KC-135R, MC-130E and U-28A manipulatively around the world. Anderson’s career includes command of African Special Operations Squadrons, Expeditions, Operations Groups, Special Operations Divisions and Special Operations Commands.
