So far, the list has “a handful of names,” but it may not be the final version. It’s not passed on to Democrats, but to Republicans in Congress. Several top Republicans on the Armed Services Committee said they had heard about the list but never saw it per se.
“I may have heard rumors, but I’m not going to speculate about them,” Senate Armed Committee Chairman Roger Wicker (R-Miss.) told FOX. “No one is approaching me about such a list other than those who ask me questions.”
Hegses was scheduled to travel to Guantanamo Bay, Cuba on Friday, and conducted a media interview, but the trip was postponed until Tuesday.
Some officials believe the delay is another indication that a shooting may be imminent. The end of Friday is often the time when shootings will be announced in Washington.

Hegseth speaks candidly about his belief that women should not serve in combat roles.
“We’re straightforward to say we shouldn’t be in a combat role. It’s not making us more effective, it makes us more deadly, it makes the fight more complicated. “He said on November 7, 2024, episode of the “Shawn Ryan Show” podcast.
He later made his comment clear, and his statement “were misunderstood, I somehow managed to get the military women, some of our biggest warriors, our best warriors are women.” He said.
Co-Chief Chairman CQ Brown is also rumored to be on the list.
When asked if he would fire Brown on his first day in office, Hegseth said, “I look forward to working with him.”
Brown stood next to Hegzes when he answered the question.
