A helicopter carrying at least four people crashed on the Hudson River Thursday afternoon, according to sources with knowledge of the NYPD and research.
Reports of a fallen aircraft near Westside Highway and Spring Street came just after multiple sources said four people had been pulled out of Chopper and taken to hospital at 3pm.
It was not clear how many people there were on the helicopter, where they came from, or where they came from.
The emergency boat appeared to correspond to an upside down chopper, the civic app footage showed. Rescue teams such as NYPD, Jersey City, FDNY and others were among the teams they responded to.
