President Donald Trump continues to boast about the success of the US strike against Iran’s nuclear facility and traveled to the Netherlands this week for the NATO summit.
The US began a strike late on Saturday, targeting major nuclear facilities in Iran. Iran’s nuclear facility involves more than 125 US aircraft, Chief of Staff Dan Kane told reporters on Sunday.
After the strike, Trump addressed the country, saying that the mission “completely and completely wiped out” the nuclear location. However, a few days later, leaked reports from the Defense Intelligence Reporting Agency issued by CNN and the New York Times raised doubts those claims, saying the strike had only retreated Iran’s nuclear program by a few months.

Trump on Saturday added that the US completed a “very successful” strike against Iranian nuclear sites in Fordow, Natanz and Isfahan, and that the installation of Iran’s nuclear enrichment has been “eliminate.” (Fox News)
Meanwhile, the US, Israel and Iranian foreign ministries all say three nuclear sites hit by US troops have suffered major damage.
Still, Trump has said he will not hesitate to launch additional strikes against Iran. If Tehran tries to strengthen its nuclear program again.

NATO Summit
Trump attended the NATO summit in the Netherlands on Tuesday and Wednesday, where he met with Ukrainian President Voldy Milzelensky. The Ukrainian leader said in a post on Wednesday in X that the two “covered all the issues that really mattered” as the US tried to mediate a peace deal to end the conflict between Russia and Ukraine.

NATO allies – everything except Spain – agreed on Wednesday to promote defence spending to 5% of GDP by 2035.
Trump has long advocated for NATO allies to increase their defensive spending from 2% to 5% GDP. It also made it clear that European countries need to bear greater responsibility for the security of the continent.

Trump pressed lawmakers on Thursday to lead his sweeping tax and domestic policy bills to the finish line, labeling them “the most important border law ever to cross the floor of Congress.”

“This is the ultimate codification of our agenda. Very simply, it’s a phrase that has been used quite often over the past decade, but perhaps even before that, it makes America great again,” Trump said at the “big, big, beautiful event” at the White House on Thursday.
Meanwhile, Republicans are rushing to pass reforms and measures ahead of Trump’s July 4 deadline, following Senate Elizabeth McDonough’s decision on Thursday that some Medicaid reforms in passing the Senate taxes must not follow Senate rules and be removed.
