One lucky player is a wealthy man of over $4.6 million after Mega Millions tickets for sale in Los Angeles County matched the first five figures in the painting Friday night. According to California lottery officials.
The historic ticket worth $4,607,223 was sold at Spirits World Liqueur on Burbank Boulevard, Tarzana. Winnings were 2, 6, 8, 14, 49, and mega number 12. No one won 12 numbers (5 plus megaballs) into the jackpot, which led to an estimated $182 million in draw on Tuesday night.
Lottery officials said the $4.6 million payment was California’s second-largest second-place mega million victory in the last decade. In June 2022, the second-largest tickets sold for over $7.7 million.
The California lottery doesn’t know who the winner is until they file a claim. Winners can download claim forms to the lottery website and pick them up at retailers.
Spirits World Liquor is located at 18523 Burbank Blvd. According to the lottery, in Tarzana.
A Mega Million ticket costs $5 to play in California. About $2 from all tickets sold support the lottery’s mission to raise supplementary funds for public schools, officials said.
“Firing supplemental funds for public education is California’s lottery’s sole mission,” the authorities said.
