A Good Samaritan chased and led police to a reckless driving suspect who fled the scene of a crash that injured a woman in Upland Monday night.
The incident occurred while the suspect was speeding down Foothill Boulevard without a driver’s license or insurance, police said.

“The reckless driver pulled into the crashed vehicle and drove off as soon as he saw the female driver injured,” police said in a statement.
Another driver witnessed the crash and immediately followed the suspect, who parked in an alley behind several nearby businesses before officers arrived and arrested him.
According to police, the unidentified suspect was arrested on a felony charge of hit-and-run resulting in bodily injury.
Officers also found a nitrous oxide system (NOS) tank used in huffling inside the suspect’s vehicle.
“We are extremely grateful to the Good Samaritan. We thank them for their vigilance,” police said.
