The 15-year-old on a bike was hospitalized after the driver crashed into him in South Los Angeles before escaping the scene.

The impact knocked the boy off his bike and onto the BMW hood before he hit the ground. The driver advanced a few feet and stopped for a while before speeding up.
Bystanders are seen rushing to help Sebastian, with two other witnesses taking photos and footage of the car running away to escape towards the street.
He was taken to hospital due to injury and received eight stitches in his mouth. He also struggles with communication.
“I remember coming from school and just seeing the car heading towards him,” the boy’s father, Eric Carillo, told KTLA’s Carlos Sauseudo.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation, but Eric believes his son may have been targeted without any provocation.
The California Highway Patrol Officer has been investigating the incident and said he has not ruled out the possibility that the hit and run was intentional.
As Sebastian continues to recover, the father says it is heartbreaking to see his son suffering.
“It’s frustrating to see my son at home. I don’t want to go outside, I just feel the pain,” Eric said. “I just want justice for my son. He doesn’t want to go to school anymore. It’s sad. I don’t know what drivers are attacking people with their bikes.”
Officials said the suspect was driving a black four-door 2025 BMW sedan. CHP investigators are asking anyone with information about the case to call 424-551-4000.
