The administration and the House of Representatives GOP leaders believe the closure will be devastating and will hinder the adoption of Trump’s agenda.
House Democrat leaders are opposed to the package. They believe Republicans should hand over the bill themselves because they didn’t negotiate with Democrats. But Hakeem Jeffries (DN.Y.), the House minority leader, refused to answer yesterday when asked twice whether all Democrats would vote for Nay.

The Democrats are a little torn apart. On the other hand, they believe that shutdowns can hinder Doge. Meanwhile, they fear that the shutdown can involve Elon Mask in a shutter program where it is closed.

Even if the bill passes, the measure faces an uncertain future in the Senate. Even if all 53 Senate Republicans vote “Yes,” they need seven Democrats to beat the filibuster.
The government funding deadline will be held on Friday at 11:59:59:59pm.
