Hitchhiker’s Guide to Stephanik’s withdrawal as a candidate for the United Nations Ambassador

President Trump’s decision to withdraw his appointment of Rep. Elise Stefanik (RN.Y.) as UN ambassador is about mathematics.

In many ways.

yes. There was a majority of all council tight house GOPs. And that was the factor. But it’s not the only one.

Trump asks Stefanik to withdraw from the UN ambassador’s fight over the majority of the razor-sparkly family

In November, House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) said he “pleaded and pleaded” with Trump to not recruit more House members for his administration after he drafted the National Security Advisor (R-FLA). The Senate was thought to be poised in the next week or two to confirm Stephanik as the UN ambassador. She would have resigned from the house soon. However, this will come because the GOP feared losing one, if not two, of these special elections, to succeed Gaetz and Waltz. Additionally, if Stefanik resigns, it will take about three months for the special election to arrive at his seat in upstate New York. And – there are concerns that Republicans could lose their seats in special elections as they are split up in New York’s GOP.

But Fox says the issue isn’t particularly likely to lose a special election in upstate New York, when those seats are vacant.

The house is now passing President Trump’s “big, beautiful bill.” House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) has retreated the idea of moving the bill forward before Easter.

It will take a frank few weeks, if not months, to pass that bill.

Here’s the other problem:

Rep. Kat Cammack (R-Fla.) announced this week that she is pregnant and is scheduled for August.

Reporter’s Notebook: Should the House of Representatives allow members of Congress to vote remotely?

Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-FLA.) sparrs with Johnson over his head about her plan to force the home to allow remote votes for pregnant or new mothers. Luna and her resolution co-sponsor, Rep. Brittany Pettersen (D-Colo.), speak at length about how difficult it can be to travel and vote in the late pregnancy. One source told Fox that if Cammack is unable to vote before birth, Republicans can worry about losing another GOP member.

That, of course, assumes that Luna and Pettersen are not successful in their initiatives that allow remote voting.

R-Fla. Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, and D-Colo. Brittany Pettersen of the company pushed hard to allow remote voting by pregnant and new mothers. With R-FLA Rep. Kat Cammack recently announced his pregnancy, these rules changes can help Republicans cut their majority further. (Getty/AP)

There is another problem:

The president also indicated that Stefanik will return to the House GOP Leadership Table, but it is unknown. Stefanik previously served as chairman of the House Republican Congress. Rep. Lisa McClain (R-Mich.) holds that position. Several senior house Republican sources told Fox before the withdrawal that they didn’t know that nothing was going on. “I hope not,” replied to one member of the House Gop Brain Trust when asked about a potential withdrawal. Still, now President Trump has put Stefanik back into GOP leadership. House Republican leaders seemed to have no clue that the president was trying to yank Stefanik’s nomination.

Democratically in charge. Raul Griarba died at 77

Well, here’s what to cook your noodles.

This is completely hypothetical. But it’s worth exploring.

The house currently consists of 431 members. There are 218 Republicans and 213 Democrats. There are four spaces.

Former Congressman Matt Gaetz (R-FLA.) was not appointed. Former Congressman Michael Waltz (R-FLA.) has resigned. The late Congressmen Sylvester Turner (D-Texas) and Raul Grialba (D-Ariz.) have died.

Let’s say Republicans will lose two special House elections in Florida, unlikely. The democratic victory has 433 members in the House, with 218 Republicans and 215 Democrats. Two vacant seats, Turner and Grillarva’s death.

However, if the Senate confirms Stefanik and she resigns, the house will be 217 Republicans and 215 Democrats.

but…

If Turner and Grillarva were living, Democrats would control the house 218-217 under that scenario. In particular, the House has never been turned upside down in the middle of Congress.

This is why Johnson begged Trump last November to not poach other Republicans from his home.
