New York Governor Kathy Hochul defended the state’s crowd pricing program in New York City, opposed President Donald Trump’s “king” remarks after his administration moved to block plans. It’s there.

Hochul appeared on CBS’s “Face the Nation” on Sunday, where he was asked about a one-on-one oval office meeting with Trump at the White House last week. The governor used his meeting with Trump to say, “Our city is paralyzed by Gridlock and there is a path to make it work and it works.”

“It wasn’t a hostile meeting,” Democrats said, “but especially after it was discovered that the Trump administration has ended a program that was congested priced by officially elected members of our Congress. I was very clear. In a tweet, representing the voices of the people, he claims that he is the king, and therefore he has the power to destroy it.”

The Trump administration ordered the program to suspend Wednesday, and on January 5th, it thinned traffic and made mass transport by imposing a $9 toll on most vehicles entering Manhattan’s core south of Central Park. We have established the goal of providing funding.

After the announcement, Trump declared victory over the true society, saying, “Congestion pricing is dead. All Manhattan and New York have been saved. The King’s longevity!”

Hochul immediately fought back on Wednesday, criticizing his remarks. She repeated her stance on Sunday.

“And I have a problem with that characterization, because we worked under the King 250 years ago. As I said, we have not returned there.”

Despite the federal order, tolls are currently being held due to a federal lawsuit filed by the Metropolitan Transportation Bureau, a state agency that operates public transport in New York City, aimed at keeping them alive. It exists.

In New York, traffic tolls are split, with most opposition coming from suburban commuters or people living in areas underserved by the metro system. Advocates say it is an innovative way to speed up traffic and reduce air pollution.

Hochul said that the meeting with Trump may not have persuaded the president to reconsider his move to block the program, but she will continue to fight for it.

“People in my state need to know that I am going to fight anywhere, wherever I am,” she said.

Hochul said he believes the state’s case will be won in court and believes the congestion price pricing program will continue.

The Associated Press contributed to this report.
