Border czar Tom Homan has warned that the number of daily deportations is set to rise in the coming weeks as President Trump’s administration begins to expand operations.

Homan made the comments during a Sunday appearance on ABC News’ “This Week” with host Martha Raddatz. Border officials say the administration is currently targeting only violent illegal aliens, but that will change soon.

“You will see a steady increase in the number of arrests across the country as we open up,” Homan said. “Right now, it’s focused on public safety threats, national security threats. It’s a small population. So we’re going to do this as a priority. That’s President Trump’s promise. Nationwide. ”

“When you talk about the opening of openings, estimates of people who have been convicted or arrested in the past are anywhere from 700,000 to over 1 million. So after you do that, you go after everyone who is illegally ” asked Raddatz.

“If you’re in the country illegally, you’re on the table because it’s not okay to violate the laws of this country. Every time you enter this country illegally, you commit a crime below. I remember violating Title 8, U.S. Code 1325, which is a crime,” Homan responded.

“So if you’re in the country illegally, you have a problem. And that’s why I hope people who are in the country illegally who haven’t been removed by a federal judge should leave.” That’s why we’re here,” he added.

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt released the image on Friday, writing on X that “deportation flights have begun.” Mississippi lawmakers are proposing to pay bounty hunters to help deport illegal immigrants. (White House)

The statement comes after Homan warned sanctuary cities across the United States that their policies would not prevent deportations and instead endanger communities, federal agents, and illegal aliens.

Sanctuary cities are defined by a policy of not turning over illegal aliens to federal authorities when apprehended. Aliens are often released into the community.

Homan last week urged sanctuary city officials to support the “Fox & Friends” effort. “You pushed us into the community, so please work with us.”

He continued, “Here’s what happens. We’ll find the bad guy, but when we find him, he’ll be with other people, other people, criminal priorities. Maybe not illegally in the US, they will be arrested too.”

“I want to save lives. Secure borders save lives,” Homan said. “If President Trump locks down this border, fewer women and children will be sex trafficked in this country, fewer aliens will make that journey. [and a] 600% increase in sex trafficking. ”

Fox News confirmed Sunday that Tom Holman will be in Chicago, along with Deputy Attorney General Emil Bove, to observe and assist with the immigration process here in the city.
