The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee unveiled a list of 35 House Republicans scheduled to target in mid-2026 on Tuesday, including three California seats.
The list the DCCC called the district includes Alaskan Rep. Nick Begich (R). Arizona representatives David Schweicart (R), Eli Crane (R), Juan Siscommani (R); California representatives David Baradao (R), Young Kim (R), and Ken Calvert (R). Colorado Rep. Gabe Evans (R); Florida officials Collie Mills (R), Anna Pauline Narna (R), and Maria Elvira Salazar (R).
The committee is also targeting Iowa officials. Marianne Net Millermeek (R), Ashley Hinson (R), and Zachnun (R). Open seat for Kentucky’s 6th Congressional District. Michigan Rep. Bill Huizenga (R) and Tom Barrett (R). Open seating for Michigan’s 10th Congressional District. Missouri Rep. Anne Wagner (R); Nebraska Rep. Don Bacon (R); New Jersey Rep. Tom Keene Jr. (R); New York Rep. Mike Lawler (R).

The last names on the list are Ohio State officials Max Miller (R), Mike Turner (R), and Mike Carrey (R). Pennsylvania representatives Brian Fitzpatrick (R), Ryan McKenzie (R), Rob Bresnahan (R), and Scott Perry (R). Tennessee Rep. Andy Ogles (R); Texas Rep. Monica de la Cruz (R); Virginia Rep. Rob Whitman (R); Wisconsin officials. Brian Steele (R) and Derrick Van Olden (R).
Rep. John James (R-Mich.), running for governor, currently owns Michigan’s 10th Congressional District, and Rep. Andy Barr (R-KY.), running for the Senate, represents Kentucky’s 6th Congressional District.
Open seats for Hinson, Ogles, Mills, Turner, Carrie, Mills, Huizenga and Kentucky District 6 are new additions to their target lists from the 2024 cycle onwards.
House Democrats say the political environment is in favour of entering 2026, pointing to the negative effects of President Trump’s recently announced tariffs, Elon Musk’s unpopularity and potential cuts on Medicaid.
“House Republicans are scared. They should be. They tank the economy, they thwart Medicaid, they abandon veterans, they make everything even more expensive. In short, they have lost the trust of the majority, DCCC Chairman Susan Delvene (D-Wash) said in a statement.
Last month, the National Republican Congressional Campaign Committee (NRCC) released a target list that includes 26 House Democrats.
