Wesley Hunt of R-Texas has written to two major agency managers with a plan to “quickly” remove around 1.4 million illegal immigrants who are currently undergoing Medicaid in the United States.
“Congressional Democrats continue to feel the falsehood and fear surrounding what is called “Medicaid cuts,” but they conveniently ignore the incredible truth. Over 1.4 million illegal aliens have received Medicaid benefits.
Both Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Director Christie Noem and Dr. Mehmet Oz, administrator of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), were recipients of Congressman Hunt’s letter this week.

“I formally requested the Secretary of Homeland Security to establish a task force, illegally exploiting our health care systems and ensuring that they are quickly removed from our country,” Hunt added.
The comments from Texas Senators come as President Donald Trump’s “one big beautiful bill.” This includes clauses that remove illegal immigration from taxpayer-funded healthcare, facing last-minute changes in the Senate.
Fox News Digital has obtained information about “one big beautiful bill” from the Congressional Budget Office, sent to two GOP committee chairs this week.
The White House says Congress will discuss “footnotes” on “big beautiful bills,” but doesn’t expect any major changes.
“Around 1.4 million people are those who do not meet the requirements for citizenship and immigration status for Medicaid registrations, but are subject to current laws in state-funded programs.”

On Thursday, Senators moved to attack current languages with laws that eliminate illegal immigrants from Medicaid eligibility, but sources close to negotiations told Fox News Digital that some of the bills are being actively re-drafted to ensure they are included in the final draft of the bill.
Senate majority leader John Thune, R-South Dakota, also worked on the Congressional decision to remove the Medicaid-related portion on reporters on Thursday morning.
Trump pressures Congress to pass “big and beautiful bills” and insists that “no one will do it until they’re on vacation.”
“These are speed bumps along the way. We were expecting them, so we have emergency plans,” Thune explained. “Obviously we need to adjust the timing and schedule a bit, but we’re moving forward.”
Whether Medicaid was removed from “one big beautiful bill,” Rep. Hunt says that being able to identify only illegal immigrants who accept free medical care is enough to remove it from the United States.
