As lawmakers marched towards voting for President Donald Trump’s “big beautiful bill,” House Republicans aren’t too concerned about the major threats from tech billionaire Elon Musk.

Musk, who once headed Trump’s Office of Government Efficiency (DOGE), was extremely critical of the president’s legislative agenda. He was quiet about the bill until Senate Republicans were moving forward to hand it over earlier this week.

“We’re not lightly blackmailing here,” R-Ga said. Rep. Buddy Carter told Fox News Digital. “And as you know, Elon, I’m grateful for all the work he’s done at Doge. And he’s done some great work, some great work, but at the same time, this is something we have to do.”

Musk has once again returned to Bemore’s Republican for supporting the legislative giant for its incredible price tag of $3.3 trillion and its impact on the already massive $37 trillion debt. He even threatened to support a major challenger against Republicans who voted for the bill.

It wasn’t the first time Musk has been involved.

House Republicans are now preparing to vote after hours of delays, negotiations and near-record-breaking open floor time in the lower room. Plus, many people don’t care about the threat of musk.

Trump calls for Republicans to hold out as House procedural votes on the megaville remain open: “The cost of your vote!”

R-Mi. Rep. Tim Wahlberg told Fox News Digital that he is focused on “What we can do is, frankly, better than what Elon Musk has done.”

“I’m not worried about Elon Musk,” he said. “I know Doge has found some good things that he needs to improve in this government, but the $2 trillion Elon said he was trying to find didn’t.”

Musk is also particularly up to issues with changes to the Senate bill, denounced it to add trillions to the deficit.

Rep. Brad Knott, RN.C. noted that the bill would be cut north by $1.5 trillion to offset the costs of extending or creating Trump’s permanent 2017 tax cuts and employment law.

“I am grateful for Musk’s motivation,” he told Fox News Digital. “I’m grateful that he’s focused on debt reduction. I hope he takes a step back and realizes we’re still on the same team.”

The Senate change to Medicaid, especially in former President Joe Biden’s inflation reduction law and other green energy subsidies cuts amid other cost driving issues, have given the fiscal Hawks to heartburn at home, but House Republican leaders are confident the bill will pass.
