Federal agents attacked the nightclub early on Friday, arresting Chinese and 36 Taiwanese citizens suspected of being illegally in the country, authorities said.
According to a statement shared on X, Los Angeles Homeland Security Officer, U.S. Immigration and Customs Director, and members of El Camino’s Real Financial Crime Task Force made arrests during “enforcement activities in an underground nightclub.”

A video shared by HSI Los Angeles shows officers wearing vests in the parking lot before sunrise are bowed in part before cutting into a sunlight scene of a group of people cuddled up the sidewalk outside the building. Officers are shown to handcuff individuals and load them into white vans.
It is not clear where the underground nightclub is.
Details of the investigation were not available immediately. The role of El Camino’s Real Financial Crime Task Force in the attack was also unknown.
The group is a multi-agency initiative of federal and state investigators focusing on financial crimes in Southern California. Members include HSI Los Angeles, the Internal Revenue Service’s Criminal Investigation, the US Attorney’s Office for the Central District of California, and the California Department of Justice.
On Wednesday, an investigation, including a task force, arrested 14 individuals, including residents of San Fernando Valley and Glendale. He was accused of being part of a multinational criminal network that fraudulently acquired more than $25 million in Covid-19 relief funds.
The immigration enforcement action on Friday comes as ICE works to comply with President Trump’s orders to increase the pace of arrests and deportation across the country. On Thursday, the agency announced it had achieved the highest number of arrests in history this week.
On Monday, HSI Los Angeles arrested 12 Mexican citizens on suspicion of illegally attending the United States after traveling by small boat from Mexico to Long Beach.
In April, workers for an estimated two days were detained by US customs and border security measures outside the Home Depot in Pomona. Earlier in the year, CBP agents carried out a three-day raid targeting daytime and Latino farm workers in rural areas of Kern County.
