A big line was wrapped up at Dodger Stadium Wednesday afternoon as fans were eagerly waiting for the first Shohei Ohtani Bobblehead prize of the 2025 season.
Bobblehead depicts the Los Angeles Dodgers superstar wearing a white home jersey with a black bat hanging over his shoulder, picking up his new 2024 National League MVP award.
Hei Otani Bobblehead (Los Angeles Dodgers) was released at Dodger Stadium on April 2, 2025
This is the first of four Otani Bobbleheads released this season.
On Wednesday, fans lined up for five to six hours, hoping that Dodger Stadium’s Gates would open with Otani fans (or resellers) and get a collectible that proved to be a major product.
As of 5pm, multiple eBay lists were sought hundreds of dollars for exclusive giveaways. Last season, some resellers listed limited edition stadium gifts worth over $1,000.
The Dodgers were scheduled to play against the Atlanta Braves on their early first pitch at Dodger Stadium around 5:40pm. The Dodgers currently boast a 7-0 record since the start of the season.
The next Otani Bobble Head prize will be held on May 15th. The figure portrays Ohatani slid into the base and celebrating his history-making 2024 season, where he became the only player to steal 50 bases in one season, hitting 50 home runs and stealing 50 bases.
