Brooke Hogan is breaking her silence to honor his father, Hulk Hogan, who passed away on July 24th at the age of 71 after suffering from sudden cardiac arrest.
“My father’s blood passes through my veins. His eyes glow through my children. And our bond has not broken even in his final moments,” wrote the 37-year-old young Hogan in a July 29 tribute she shared on Instagram.
“We had a deeper connection than words. It spans lifetimes. I’m grateful to know his true version, not just what the world saw through a carefully curated lens,” she continued.
The former “Hogan is the Best” star, who has been alienated by her father in recent years, said that she and the wrestler “shared a quiet and sacred bond.
“When he left this earth, it felt like a part of my spirit remained with him. I felt it before the news reached us,” she continued. “He reminded me, ‘This is all temporary and I always find a way back to you.’ I really believe in it – we will find each other in every lifetime. ”
She also paid tribute to her relationship with her father, saying she “want to clear some things.”
She recalled that she and her husband, former professional hockey player Stephen Olexi, moved to Florida to get closer to her father because he was “old.”
Hulk Hogan, Center posed with his children, Brooke and Nick Hogan, on November 2, 2005 in Hollywood, California.
However, after she supported her father through “nearly 25 surgeries,” he suddenly said, “I didn’t want her to be by his side.
“Everything started to be covered in thick veils,” writes young Hogan. “It seemed like there was a force field around him that I couldn’t get through.”
So she made the decision “in the last two years” to “run away to protect my heart.”
“All I’ve ever wanted from my dad was love, honesty and deep connection,” she wrote. “And for a few years I had it – I have memories that last forever. My world has changed forever. But I am deeply blessed with my beloved husband and two beautiful children who remind me of the greatest gifts of everyday life.”
Brooke Hogan shared the video on Instagram, filled with images of her and her father. “Our bond is eternal. The truth brings comfort and hope to me, even in your absence,” she wrote.
A few months before the wrestler’s death, Brooke Hogan confirmed that he had not had contact with his parents in recent years.
She revealed her alienation after her mother, Hulk Hogan’s ex-wife, Linda Hogan, revealed in a tearful video of her Instagram story in March 2025 that her daughter was tied up “around eight years ago.”
Linda Hogan denounced the rift of her ex-husband’s mother-daughter, describing the ex-wrestler as a “sex addict” and a “complete liar.”
The next day, Brooke Hogan responded to a video of his mother, explaining that there was a “completely separate reason” to stop communicating with his parents.
“I have been extremely verbally and emotionally abused since I was a child,” she wrote at the time.
“Sadly, it will change physically often,” she added.
Today.com contacted both Linda Hogan and Hulk Hogan for comments at the time and did not receive a response.
Hulk Hogan and Linda Hogan were married for 26 years and shared their 35-year-old son, Nick Hogan.
“It was incredibly comforting to hear so many kind words and stories about my father’s life, interactions with everyone, and experiences,” he wrote on Instagram over the years along with pictures of his father and Hin.
Nick Hogan continued to call his father a “hero.”
“He was the kindest, loving, and amazing father anyone could ask for,” he wrote. “I feel so blessed to have had a great dad in the world.”
