(Nexstar) – For the first time, the Academy Awards are streaming on Hulu. Unfortunately, some users have reported issues accessing the service when the awards show begins.
Just before 9pm ET – about two hours after the show began, the streaming service said “we will identify the issue and the affected users should be able to log in again soon.”
“We apologize for the inconvenience,” read the post from Hulu’s support team X.
Down devices tracked outages reported by more than 30,000 users until about 7:15pm shortly after the Oscars began.
X’s Hulu users said they couldn’t go through a page warning the company’s new subscriber agreement. Others said the streaming service is crashing with notification that the awards show cannot be viewed at the location.

In another post just before 7:40pm ET, the Hulu support page said, “Are you log in? If so, we’re working on it! Our team is actively investigating.
Before 8:45pm ET, Hulu Support responded to an X post saying that the team had ‘adjusted’. The company then encouraged users to restart.
As of 8pm, user issues reported in down detectors began to decrease. Before 9pm ET, publication reports fell below 3,000.
