The man who allegedly killed his neighbor at a nudist resort in the Inland Empire last August reportedly did so with a hot dog.
Michael Sparks, 62, is said to have killed Daniel Menard, 79, and Stephanie Menard, 73, in August 2024. And the body of a human was found under Sparks’ house at the Olive del Ranch Nudist Resort, investigators said.
Sparks and Menard didn’t get along well, but the final straw was a hot dog, as detailed at a court hearing on Monday, reported PressEntelPrice.

A fellow inmate at the West Valley Detention Center reported to authorities, and the sparks admitted to the murder and brutally beat the couple with a rake, ho and hammer, Redlands Police Detective Thomas Williams testified.
“[The other inmate] Sparks said the incident began on a hot dog Daniel Menard bought for him. said Williams.
He also admitted to Menard’s dog, owning his cuddle in the sink, Williams testified.
Sparks also allegedly admitted to the text message murder.
When a former colleague checked him in during a search at Olive Dell, he confirmed with her that he was the target of the search and that he planned to commit suicide that day. Prosecutors say Sparks tried, but his gun was choked.
“I chopped up my neighbor,” he is said to have written. “I didn’t know I had it. I snapped it.”
