Law enforcement officials stormed Huntington Park City Hall and the home of local leaders Wednesday morning.
The warrant was provided by investigators with the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office as part of a broad corruption investigation, as originally reported by the Los Angeles Times.
District Attorney Nathan Hochman later confirmed that warrants were provided at 11 locations in the city, including City Hall, the current and former city councillor’s home, the current mayor’s home, and the Glendale Construction Company.
Hochman called the ongoing corruption investigation “Operation Dirty Pond” and said it was launched in 2022 to investigate the misuse of millions of dollars in public funds set aside for the construction of the Aquatic Center in Salt Lake Park.

Sky5 had crossed the scene of the attack at Huntington Park City Hall, 6,550 miles, around 1pm.
During the search, several items related to the investigation were seized, including financial documents, computers, tablets, mobile phones and “various forms of electronic devices.”
The Times reported that the investigation focused on public funding and contractor use related to the Aquatic Center Project.
Hochman, who described the case as “complicated,” said his office would work to ensure that civil servants “may be at the highest standards of integrity, integrity and transparency.
“It is our duty to thoroughly investigate and protect public trust if any concerns arise about the use of public funds or the actions of inaugurators,” Hochman said in an afternoon news release. “No one is beyond the law, regardless of their position or title.”

Huntington Park is a three-square-mile city in the southeastern LA region known as the Gateway city, with a population of about 55,000 people, according to the 2020 US Census.
