A man was arrested Thursday in connection with the murder of his wife, who was found dead at a burning San Marino home in January.
The suspect was identified as Yun Rai, 62, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office.
On January 6th, San Marino Firefighters responded to a burning home in the 2000 block of Lorraine Road before 10am.
After the flames were defeated, firefighters made a horrifying discovery. The body of 56-year-old Irene Golei has been found inside. According to Pasadena Star News, she was reportedly found in a back room with trauma in her upper body.

Rye is said to have told authorities that he took their two sons to baseball practice that morning before returning to find their home.
After months of investigation, authorities identified LAI as someone interested in murdering his wife and were arrested on July 3rd.
According to the California Medical Board, the victim was a major area of practice: a physician. News of her death shocked her neighbors who said that the high-class community is a generally safe and quiet part of the town.
“It’s definitely not normal,” one neighbor told KTLA. “I’ve lived here for the rest of my life. I can say this isn’t quite common. I think I’ve seen two major crimes happen in my 21 years of life here.”
No further details have been released, including possible motives. Lai is held on a warrant without bail. The case will be filed with the LA County District Attorney’s Office.
