An apparent investigation by the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agency (ICE) was underway in downtown Los Angeles Wednesday morning, with several official engine vehicles surrounding the federal buildings ongoing.
The Department of Homeland Security confirmed that law enforcement activities were actually taking place in the immigration court at 300 N. Los Angeles St., but did not provide details about the operation, citing “the safety issues of the public and its staff.”

The Department of Homeland Security also suggested that the operation could be “part of an effort to reverse Biden’s catch-and-release policy.”
“ICE is currently following the law and is constantly eliminating the rapid removal of these illegal aliens,” the Department of Homeland Security said in a statement, accusing the Biden administration of ignoring the rapid expulsion of people who have entered the country illegally.
“If they have valid, reliable, fear claims, they will continue with the immigration process, but if no valid claims are found, the aliens will be subject to rapid deportation,” the statement said.
