Ice Cube will place his hands and footprints on cement on Tuesday in the front yard of the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood.
The hip-hop legend will take part in the 11am ceremony, featuring Oshea Jackson Jr., the eldest son who portrayed his father in the 2015 NWA biography, Straight Outta Compton, and comedian and actor Mike Epps. Ice Cube and Epps co-starred in the buddy comedy films Next Friday, Next Friday, Everything About the Benjamins, and Tickets for the comedy Lottery.
The rapper-turned actor already has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. He received it in 2017 in the recording category.
Ice Cube gained fame as a rapper and songwriter for the West Coast Group NWA in the late 1980s, writing the lyrics for the groundbreaking songs “Straight Outta Compton” and “Gangsta, Gangsta.”
The NWA was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2016 and won the Grammy Award for Lifetime Achievement in 2024.
Ice Cube began his solo career in 1990 when he released his first studio album, “Amerikkka’s Most Wanted.”
