Images from security cameras released by Los Angeles police show a man armed with a soccer jersey desired for sexual assault on a metro bus in the East Hollywood area.
The attack was reported on April 12th just before 10pm. The attacker sat next to a 33-year-old woman on a bus on Sunset Boulevard and Vermont Avenue and had a conversation with her. He then showed him a knife and asked for money, police said.
“When the victim had no money to give the suspect, he sexually assaulted her for several minutes,” LAPD said in a statement that includes photos of the man sought in the attack.
The attackers left the bus as they stopped at the southeast corner of Martin Luther King Junior Boulevard and Figuero As Street in Expo Park south of downtown Los Angeles.
The man sought in the attack is wearing a white T-shirt with the soccer logo that police described as between 19 and 30 years old and between 5 feet and 5 inches tall and “Qatar Airways”, dark pants and a dark backpack. The shirt looked like Paris in Jersey’s Away Away Away Jersey.
