Federal immigrant raids continue to sweep Southland all over, with recent operations causing multiple arrests and political mobilization.
On Wednesday, 16 people were arrested after federal agents raided an immigrant using a Penske rental truck in a parking lot at Home Depot in Los Angeles. The operation, called the “Trojan horse,” is part of a wider crackdown during the “Summer of Resistance.”
Pensuke said it strictly prohibits the transportation of people in the cargo area of the vehicle and is unaware that the trucks are being used for operation.
Although the KTLA has not confirmed the claim, the Department of Homeland Security has indicated it is responding to MS-13 gang activities in the region.
Meanwhile, a new video circulating on social media shows two women detained during another attack on Wednesday, one of them is Sabrina Medina, a pregnant US citizen. Medina was released Wednesday night and agents allege she had detained her so that she could reach her undocumented husband without a criminal record.

Immigration rights groups are planning an action day on Tuesday, including boycotts and caravan rallies. Companies targeting boycotts include McDonald’s, Target, Walmart and Home Depot.
Los Angeles Police Chief Jim McDonnell has expressed concern about the potential conflict during the attack.
“It’s tough for us… we’re working on everything but immigration,” McDonnell told KTLA 5 News. “We don’t know who’s involved, so it’s possible that it’s a blue blue incident. We’re trying not to get anyone injured.”
