Sorry, the savvy In-N-Out Burger Orderers, this menu loophole has been closed.
The iconic burger chain is increasing the price of individual slides of meat along with cheese, according to a memorandum sent to In-N-Out stores and later posted on Reddit.
In the memo, Chief Operating Officer Denny Wahnick said the increase was intended to match prices for the secret menu favorite, the Flying Dutchman. The off menu item is two meat pate topped with two slices of cheese. Bread and other toppings are not included.

According to SFGate, the item usually costs around $5.50 in California. Participants at Savvy In-N-Out realized that ordering pate and cheese separately would cost around $3.40.
The cost of adding pate or cheese to a regular burger such as a double double or 3×3 remains the same.
A note submitted by Warnick claimed that the price increase was due to “confusion” surrounding the price setting of the item. Warnick told employees to understand the customer if they were surprised by the change.
