In the Abrego Garcia controversy, the White House’s dull message about where the parties stand in immigrants

The White House released split-screen images overnight to highlight the harsh contrast between where Republicans and Democrats stand in illegal immigration.

One image features Patty Morin, a distraught angel mom, being comforted by President Trump in her oval office. Morin’s daughter, Rachel Morin, was beaten, raped and killed in Maryland in 2023 by illegal immigrants from El Salvador.

Another image showed Sen. Chris Van Hollen sitting and talking with the illegal alien kilmer Abrego Garcia, 29, who was deported in El Salvador.

Rachel Morin’s mother asks the media to “tell the truth” about criminal illegal immigration

Abrego Garcia was deported last month by the Trump administration. The Trump administration says he was a member of the MS-13 gang, who violently beat his wife.

Van Hollen, who called the deportation “absolutely unfair,” flew to El Salvador to defend Abrego Garcia’s release.

“We’re not the same,” the White House captioned the image, tagging Van Hollen.

Morin’s image visited the White House on Wednesday and spoke with a reporter from the White House Briefing Room, where he called for Van Hollen’s trip to El Salvador.

She pointed out that Van Hollen, who represents her state, had never reached out to her since her daughter was killed.

“To have a Maryland senator who didn’t even admit it — I barely admitted the brutal deaths that my daughter and she endured, leaving five children without a mother, now a grandmother-free grandchild, and using my taxpayer money to fly to Salvador to even bring back American citizens,” Morin said. “Why does that person have more rights than me for their daughter or grandchildren? I don’t understand this.”

Following the conviction of Martinez Hernandez, Van Hollen has announced a statement pledging to strengthen border security, “supporting the migrant community.”

Patty Morin has appealed to the media to “speak the truth” about violent, illegal aliens put in the country. Rachel Morin’s murderer Victor Antonio Martinez Hernandez is said to have committed murder in her home country. He also linked to a home break-in and assault in Los Angeles before moving to Maryland.

Van Hollen flew to El Salvador this week to meet Abrego Garcia and was rejected multiple times. He was granted his request on Thursday night and met with Abrego Garcia on Friday.

“I said my main goal for this trip was to meet up with Kilmer,” Van Hollen wrote to X. Pictures posted by the White House. “Tonight I had that chance. I called his wife Jennifer to share his message of love.”

Van Hollen previously said, “It would be absolutely unfair and illegal to have this Marylander detain another day in an infamous prison in El Salvador.”

Garcia, who lived in Maryland with his wife and children, was deported to the MegaPrison Terrorism Confinement Centre (CECOT) in El Salvador last month, and authorities confirmed in court that his deportation was an administrative error, but Trump officials say he was correctly removed and is a member of the well-known MS-13 gang.

Both the U.S. District Court and the U.S. Supreme Court have ordered the Trump administration to “promote” his release and return to the United States for appropriate deportation procedures.

Attorney General Pam Bondy said Abrego Garcia will not be allowed to return to the United States unless El Salvador decides otherwise. “He’s not back in our country.”
