The suspected gang members did not recognize the contest on Monday for the first -class murder in the killing of a 21 -year -old USC student and jazz drummer in the attempted robbery.
The prosecutor blame Ivan Hernandez, 29, who shot Victor McCell Honey while walking with a friend group and robbery in a liquor store near the USC campus.
Former Auckland City Council, McCano, the son of Linet Makerhoney, was a student at the USC Souton Music School. He was part of the USC jazz research program with interest in the relationship between music, social movement and political movement.
Prosecutors say they have sent prison for 35 years for Hernandez.
“The petition for this contest guarantees Victor Macer Honey’s meaningless and tragic murder, which guarantees the consequences of his actions,” said the local prosecutor Nathan Hohoman. “Victor is a promising young 21 -year -old college student, a talented drummer, an active member of the USC Black Cultural Student Problem Center, and his life has been shortened by pure violence.”
After the killing, Linet Makerhoney said his son believed that music could heal the world of violence, illness and addiction.
In 2020, USC Thornton School of Music started a scholarship donated in respect to Mcelhaney.
