Law enforcement is asking its citizens to look for an incarcerated man who fled from Los Angeles County’s re-entry program facility on Sunday.
The California Department of Corrections (CDCR) has identified the man as 45-year-old Harbor Ramoslada.
According to the CDCR release, it was 2:53pm, but authorities were warned of a loss-disappearance from the Ramos Lauda Male Community Reentry Program (MCRP) facility.
Staff then conducted an emergency count to confirm that Ramos Lauda was missing.
Authorities did not immediately specify how Ramos Lauda escaped, other than the fact that he “walked away” from the facility.
As of Sunday night, the last known location of Ramos Lauda was near Wilshire Boulevard and S. Bonnie Brei Street in Los Angeles.
According to the release, Ramos Lauda was wearing a gray sweater, gray pants and a red backpack at the end. He is said to be a Hispanic man weighing 5 feet and 6 inches tall, weighing about 160 pounds, with dark hair and brown eyes.
According to the CDCR, Ramos Lauda was sentenced to three years in prison by Los Angeles County on May 13, 2024 for his second robbery.
“MCRP allows eligible incarcerated individuals approaching the end of their sentence to serve the rest of their time at the re-entry centre,” the department explained. “This voluntary program is for men who are under two years.
Anyone with a view of Ramos Lauda or knowledge of where he is will be asked to contact law enforcement immediately.
