The Los Angeles Police Department is monitoring “inexperienced” demonstrations in downtown LA, including those opposed to President Donald Trump’s deportation and immigration policies.
A large crowd gathered near Los Angeles City Hall just before noon, and after a while they began marching towards Grand Park.
According to the LAPD, the march is “unfinished” and is closely monitored by officers on the ground and in the air.

Some of the protesters are students, a LAPD spokesperson said. In the footage of Sky5, protesters were seen standing on the bed of a truck as hundreds of others walked down the street waving flags and flags.

People were seen operating heavy equipment at Grand Park, but it was not immediately clear whether they were setting up or knocking down what appears to be the footing of the stage.

Following Trump’s oath last month, protests surrounding his deportation and immigration policies have emerged across the country, including multiple in downtown Los Angeles.
The first major took place on February 2nd, involving protesters blocking 101 highways and parts of many streets for hours. Riot device police clashed with demonstrators until the evening after multiple street closures were ordered.
The next day, demonstrators reunited as part of a nation-wide “No Immigration Day” protest campaign, but stuck on the streets.
The third day of the protest took place on February 4th, and the group consisted of hundreds of students from a local high school. Since then, students have been leaving schools to protest as principal Alberto M. Carvalho, a principal of the Los Angeles Unified School District, warned students and their families that they were “noticing” a fake ice agent approaching students. Masu. LAUSD Schools have been distributing “I Know Your Rights” cards to help immigrants assert their constitutional rights.
