President Donald Trump has urged Iran to return to talks with the United States over the Islamic State’s nuclear program “before it’s too late.”

The president commented on the fourth day of missile strikes and air attacks between Iran and Israel, killing top members of Iranian military forces caused by Israel’s first attack.

“They should talk and they should talk quickly,” Trump told reporters on Monday in Canada.

Daily artillery fire between the two countries, which led to rising deaths in countries, dominated global headlines and sparked concerns about a wider war in the Middle East.

And back to the US, the attacks exacerbated already existing sectors within both Democrats and Republican parties.

Democrats, who have been working on internal divisions about Israel’s war with Hamas in Gaza for several years, spoke in two voices hours after Israel’s first attack on Israeli and Israeli leader Benjamin Netanyahu’s aggressive military strategy.

Senate minority leader Chuck Schumer, a top Democrat in the Senate, said shortly after the initial attack, “Israel has the right to protect itself, and Iran cannot have nuclear weapons.”

And Nevada Sen. Jackie Rosen, a member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, said: “Israel must act in self-defense against attacks from Iran, and the United States must stand with Israel for decades at this dangerous moment.”

But Rhode Island Sen. Jack Reid, a top Democrat on the powerful panel, warned that “the surprising decision by Israel to launch airstrikes in Iran is a reckless escalation that risks igniting local violence.”

And Washington Rep. Pramila Jayapal, former head of the Congressional Progressive Caucus, said, “Netanyahu should not be allowed to draw America into another eternal war. Instead, we must promote a negotiated de-expansion soon.”

But it’s not just the Democrats divided into bloodshed Middle Eastern blood.

“I don’t want them in, because I think I’ll blow them away,” Trump said hours before the first Israeli attack.

Israeli leaders say Trump was marked for death by the Iranians

In his first statement, the Secretary of State and national security adviser Marco Rubio revealed that the United States is not supporting Israel and omitted any mention of support for the Israeli attack.

But Trump has continued to seek negotiations – saying on social media “Iran and Israel should make a deal” – he has made clear about the US support for Israel, saying “If it is attacked in any way, in any way, or in a way, the power of the entire US military will not come to you.”

The top two Republicans in Congress quickly supported Israel.

“For too long, Iranian mullahs have publicly been willing to wipe out the only democracy of the Middle East from the surface of the map through possible means,” said Senate majority leader John Tune.

House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) was highlighted on social media shortly after the initial attack, saying, “Israel has a right to protect itself!”

And one of the most vocal GOP Hawks, Sen. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina – wrote “Game On” and praised Israel.

“We are wearing a hat on Israel in search of one of the most impressive military strikes and secret operations in Israeli history.”

However, the military Hawks have lost much of their influence in the GOP thanks to the rise of Trump’s first American move in the past decade.

“Anyone who has made the US fully involved in the Israeli/Iran war is not America’s first/Maga. I hate to want to kill innocent people. We are tired of foreign wars.

And conservative political commentator Tucker Carlson urged the United States to avoid military involvement in the Israel-Iran war, aiming for what he called “warmers.”

Matthew Bartlett, a Republican strategist who served in the State Department during Trump’s first term, said “Donald Trump has changed the direction of the Republican Party” when it comes to involvement in the US military around the world.

“It gave him a new coalition and a new political power. This new war in the Middle East certainly threatens the coalition. We are not involved in the war yet, but the possibility of escalation has increased dramatically, and it certainly has an impact with the Magazine Coalition,” warned Bartlett.

Crying fear among some of the Maga world was Trump’s comment on ABC News on Sunday that “we could be involved.”

“The GOP disparity can be traced to Trump’s promise to bring America back from the entanglement of the world,” said Wayne Lesparance, a veteran political scientist and president of New England College.

However, Lesperance said, “The GOP has a long history of support for Israel and hostility towards Iran. Therefore, dealing with the current conflict between Israel and Iran represents a major decision point for the party’s future foreign policy outlook.”
