Two people have been killed and at least four people have been injured in what authorities have described as a high-speed Martiecle collision in Santa Ana on Monday night.

Santa Ana Police Department officials responded to a report of a violent clash on Main Street just north of Warner Avenue around 6:35pm, authorities confirmed with KTLA.

Santa Ana PD spokesman Natalie Garcia told reporters that the department received multiple calls regarding vehicles moving around Warner Avenue at high speeds.

“It’s very reserved at this point. Based on circulating video surveillance, we know that the vehicle was driving north at a very high speed in the main and lost control and was driving southbound traffic lanes and on the wrong side of the road,” Garcia said.

Posting in an Instagram moment at the moment of crash, the Dashcam video appears to show the driver behind the steering wheel of a BMW torn through Northbound Warner Avenue in the southbound lane.

A driver travelling at high speed in the opposite lane, crashed into four cars on August 4, 2025, killing two cars, and injuring four people in Santa Ana. Police and crew members arrived at the Orange County Fire Department and found four vehicles involved in the collision.

All four were rushed to a nearby hospital in unknown conditions. Two other victims, each in separate vehicles, were declared dead at the scene.

It is unclear whether a person speeding on the wrong side of the road was killed during the collision.

In the aftermath footage obtained by KTLA, firefighters can be seen trying to enter one of the vehicles involved, completely destroyed.

Two other vehicles, the Honda and Toyota SUVs, also suffered catastrophic damage.

Officials said investigation into the cause of the crash was ongoing and it is too early to determine whether drugs or alcohol are the cause of the crash.

Anyone with information about the incident is encouraged to contact SAPD at 714-245-8701.
