Law enforcement continued to investigate the source of the explosives that last week killed three sheriff deputies, and served a search warrant near his Marina del Rey apartment on Tuesday.
Several law enforcement agencies were investigating the area after it was determined to be linked to devices found in Santa Monica. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said the agency coagulated the 4,200 block of the marina to “follow up additional leads and evidence to determine the origin of the device.”
It is unclear what the officials saw in the area.
On Friday, law enforcement authorities executed a search warrant at a Santa Monica home related to an investigation into the East Los Angeles explosion. Three sheriff deputies were killed when an explosion occurred at the training facility earlier that morning.
LASD said homicide investigators, police officers and the Bureau of Alcohol, cigarettes, firearms and explosives served as search warrants at Marina del Rey on Tuesday.
The investigation is underway.
