Rep. Jasmine Crockett of D-Texas is looking to support from fellow Democrats, looking to the possibility of running to the top democratic spots on the House Oversight Committee, according to a report.
Semafor first reported on Crockett’s plan, but two people familiar with the issue of Politico claiming that lawmakers are calling, texting, and having conversations on the floor in search of her quest to take the seat held by D-VA lawmakers.
Connolly reportedly plans to step aside to fight the revival of esophageal cancer, but has not made an official announcement, Politico reported.
Still, Crockett reportedly told her colleagues that it was “made for now,” sources told the publication.

Crockett did not respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.
Politico reported to the outlet via text message that despite the vacancy currently not present, “we are ready to shed light on the very darkness that is happening in our country under this administration, as we knew that Connolly officials were not seeking reelection and that our surveillance power is widespread.”
Crockett, the first-generation progressive, made headlines for several controversial comments this year.

Her latest comments came this week as she expressed sympathy for a country that could be affected by a massive deportation from the United States after largely silenced about the millions of immigrants poured into the country under the Biden administration.
“As far as I’m concerned, you randomly lure people out of the country, throw them away from their civil rights and oppose their constitutional rights,” Crockett said in a video posted on her Instagram page, with 1.3 million followers.
“And frankly, how do they feel when other countries decide they just start throwing people randomly in our country? It’s absolutely crazy.”
Crockett denounced Republicans for voting for amending a massive budget bill put forward by lawmakers aimed at clarifying that the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agency (ICE) cannot under any circumstances detain or deport American citizens.

Republican actions infuriated Crockett last week when a child of a US citizen was deported with her non-citizen mother. Tricia McLaughlin, a spokesman for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), said her child and her siblings were deported because her mother wasn’t a citizen and wanted to take her to Honduras.
Crockett was D-wash with Rep. Eric Swalwell, who panned Republicans.
“Literally, they just voted because they were others, not us, and we were all on the right side of history,” Crockett said. “They voted to give Trump the legal ability to deport American citizens. That’s what they voted for. A bunch of elected US representatives, that’s how they voted, and I’m lying or not?”

She also made the news in March after calling her a fellow Texan Gov. Greg Abbott, who uses the wheelchair “Hot Wheel Governor.” She later claimed that her words were misunderstood.
Crockett continues her viral media streak, saying Dogehead Elon Musk should be “defeated” and R-Texas Sen. Ted Cruz should be “knocked over the head,” continuing her viral media streak with inflammatory comments targeting people on the other side of the aisle.
