Vice President JD Vance said on Saturday he faced pro-Ukrainian protesters while he was walking with his 3-year-old daughter.
“Today, while walking my 3-year-old daughter, a group of protesters from ‘Slabaukraine’ followed us around, screaming in increasingly uneasy and scared,” Vance posted on X on Saturday afternoon.
“I decided to talk to the protesters in the hopes of exchanging conversations for a few minutes to leave the toddler alone,” he continued. “Almost all of them agreed.”
Vance said it was “a almost respectful conversation, but if you’re chasing the three-year-old as part of a political protest, you’re an s—person.”

“Slaba Ukraine” is the cries of war for the Ukrainian army and means “glory to Ukraine.”
The Vice President did not designate that he spoke to protesters, but the Trump administration last week cut off funds for Ukraine and stopped sharing intelligence news with the country after a tense oval office exchange between Ukrainian President Voldymee Zelensky, President Donald Trump and Vance.
Fox News Digital reached the Vice President’s office for comment.
Tensions rose during an oval office meeting on February 28 over a potential peace deal between Russia and Ukraine after Zelensky said Russian President Vladimir Putin was unreliable and violated other agreements.

Trump and Vance later accused Zelensky of not appreciating the support the US has provided over the years, and said Ukrainian leaders were in a “bad position” at the negotiation table.
President Trump and Vice President JD Vance held a tense, oval office meeting with Ukrainian President Voldy Mie Zelensky.
“You’re playing cards,” Trump said. “You’re living and gambling for millions of people. You’re gambling with World War II. You’re gambling with World War II. And what you’re doing is very rude to this country, this country.”
After Vance said there are personnel and military recruitment issues in Zelensky Ukraine, Zelensky said the war “everyone has problems, you, you, you, you, you, you, you,” adding that the United States will feel war “in the future.”
“Don’t tell us what we’re trying to feel,” Trump replied. “We’re trying to solve the problem. Don’t tell us what we’re trying to feel.”

Zelenskyy was asked to leave the White House after the exchange. The scheduled press conference was cancelled and Ukraine left it signed as it fed the US rare earth minerals.
The White House says Zelensky must publicly apologise for not considering oval office meetings or mineral trade.
On Tuesday, Zelenkey called the meeting “unfortunate” and said he was ready to pursue peace with Trump’s help.

The protesters called him a “traitor” and told him to “ski in Russia.”
Liberal commentator Tim Miller criticized Vance on Saturday in X-Post, writing, “As there are dozens of people dead in Ukraine, we stopped giving the intelligence to protect the country from bombs, so we can probably scream at the boss of a free country.”

On Friday, Trump wrote that he is “considering “large” sanctions against Russia.”
“We’ll go to the table now before it’s too late,” he wrote about Russia and Ukraine.
